Question 245s to speak

Has the food you eat changed in recent years?

Model answer

Written by 8020 teachers. Do not memorise it — take the structure and the way ideas are developed, then speak about your own life.

What kind of food do you like? Vietnamese food mostly, and specifically anything with a broth. I'd eat noodle soup for breakfast every day and I basically do. Do you prefer eating at home or eating out? Out for breakfast, home for dinner. Breakfast out is cheap and quick where I live, but dinner at home is the only part of the day that isn't rushed. Can you cook? Who taught you? I can, reasonably. My mother taught me the basics but I only really learned after I moved out, because before that I had someone to fall back on. Has the food people eat in your country changed in recent years? Quite a bit. There's much more imported food and a lot more delivery. My parents cooked every meal; my generation orders two or three times a week, which I don't think is entirely a good thing.
