Typing

I type far more than I write by hand these days — everything from assignments to messages goes through a keyboard. I taught myself by trial and error rather than doing a proper course, so my technique is a bit unorthodox, but I've got reasonably fast, maybe sixty words a minute on a good day. What I've noticed is that typing changes how I think: I draft messily and fix it afterwards, whereas when I write by hand I plan the sentence first. On a phone I'm much clumsier — I make constant typos and rely on autocorrect far too much.
