The method behind the forecast, what accuracy means, and how to get the most from it.
We draw from two main sources. First: questions that test-takers report having been asked, collected after each sitting. Second: seasonal trend analysis — the PTE Speaking question bank rotates a subset of topics on a recurring cycle, and historical pattern analysis helps estimate which topics are overdue. Combining both gives a set of high-probability topics for the coming quarter.
We haven't published a figure because we don't yet have enough matched data for any number to be meaningful. When we do, we'll publish the full comparison — including the topics we predicted wrongly and the ones that came up that we missed. We will not publish a marketing figure before we have solid evidence. One thing worth understanding clearly: nobody has the actual question list before a sitting, including sites that advertise '90% accurate'. This is a prioritised practice set, not a leaked paper.
The PTE Speaking question bank is refreshed roughly three times a year: early January, early May and early September. We update our forecast on those dates. Previous quarters are kept online so you can compare and see topic recurrence patterns over time.
Don't memorise model answers. Examiners spot memorised answers quickly, and a memorised answer typically scores below a clumsy but genuine one. Instead: read a model answer to get the ideas and vocabulary, then say it again in your own words. Speak immediately after reading — don't leave it until tomorrow. Every topic on this site has a speak-it-now button that scores your answer with AI, so you know what band your version actually reached.
