Describe a change you would like to see in your city

If I could change one thing about the city I live in, it would be the public transport system, or really the near-total absence of a decent one outside a couple of new metro lines that only cover a small part of the city. It's needed mainly because almost everyone here ends up buying a motorbike or a car out of necessity rather than choice, which then feeds directly into the traffic and the air quality, both of which have gotten noticeably worse over the ten years I've lived here. It would affect basically everyone, but I think older residents and people without much money would benefit the most — the ones who currently can't afford a motorbike, or who are too old to ride one safely in traffic that chaotic. What I'd actually want is something unglamorous — more bus routes running more frequently, proper bus lanes so they're not stuck in the same jams as everyone else, and the existing metro extended out to the areas where a lot of people actually live rather than just the centre. If that happened I think it would improve life here in a fairly direct way — less time wasted commuting, fewer accidents, probably better air for everyone's kids, mine included one day. It's not a dramatic fix, admittedly, just a slow, unglamorous one, but I think it's the change that would actually matter.
