Describe a person you only met once recently and would like to know more about

I'd like to talk about a woman called Hanh, whom I met exactly once, about three weeks ago, on the overnight train from Hanoi to Hue. We happened to share a four-berth cabin. At some point she opened a plastic box of sticky rice, noticed me staring at it, and said, "Eat. You look like a student who skipped dinner." It turned out she was in her late fifties and kept bees for a living in the hills of Son La. Every winter she moves around two hundred hives south by truck, following the flowers from one province to the next, because the bees would starve if they stayed put. I had honestly never thought about where honey comes from beyond the supermarket shelf, so I fired questions at her until nearly midnight. She told me how she can tell from the sound of a hive whether the queen is healthy, and how one bad storm wiped out half her colonies a few years ago. What struck me was how calmly she talked about that loss, as if it were simply part of the deal. The reason I'd like to know more about her is that our conversation was cut short. She got off at Dong Hoi at about five in the morning while I was fast asleep, and all she left behind was a small jar of longan honey beside my pillow. I'd love to visit her farm one day and see that nomadic way of life up close, because it's so far removed from my own routine of lectures and deadlines. For now, the jar sits on my desk, still half full.
