Describe someone who changed your mind about something

I want to talk about a colleague of mine, Daniel, who completely changed my mind about working from home, which I was fairly dismissive of before I actually saw it work properly. For years I genuinely believed that people who worked from home mostly weren't working very hard — I pictured half-finished tasks and daytime television, probably because a couple of early bad experiences with remote teammates had coloured my view of the whole idea. Daniel joined our team a few years ago already working remotely most of the week, and at first I'll admit I was quietly sceptical of how much he was actually getting done. What changed things was simply watching him over several months — he was consistently the first to respond to anything urgent, produced work that was, if anything, more careful than people sitting in the office, and was oddly better at communicating clearly precisely because he couldn't just lean over someone's desk and explain things badly in person. He never actually argued with me about it directly; he just quietly demonstrated that the assumption I'd been carrying around was wrong. My view shifted gradually rather than all at once — there wasn't a single conversation that flipped a switch, more an accumulation of small evidence that eventually became impossible to ignore. I ended up negotiating two remote days a week myself not long after, which is not something I would have predicted from the person I was before I worked alongside him.
