Describe a park or garden you enjoy

The place I'd pick is Tao Dan Park, not far from where I live, which I go to most mornings before work, usually around six. It's not a huge park by any means, but it's got these enormous old trees, decades old, that make the paths feel shaded and slightly cooler than the rest of the city even in the middle of summer. Visually, it's fairly simple — winding paths, a few open areas with exercise equipment, benches under the trees — nothing landscaped or particularly grand, which I think is part of why I like it. In the early morning it fills up with an odd mix of people: older residents doing tai chi in loose groups, a few serious runners, people just walking their dogs before work. I usually just walk a couple of laps, sometimes jog if I've got the energy, and honestly the appeal isn't really the exercise itself. It's more that it's one of the only times in the day when I'm outside without a specific destination or a phone buzzing at me, surrounded by people who are similarly just quietly starting their day. There's a particular bench near the old French-era gate where I sometimes just sit for ten minutes before heading home to shower and get ready for work, and that stretch of stillness has become, oddly, one of the more reliable parts of my whole routine.
