Describe a time you had to solve an unexpected problem

I'd like to talk about the morning my laptop died two hours before an important group presentation at university. All our slides were on it, and the file in our chat group was an old draft. My first reaction was pure panic, but panicking wasn't going to fix anything, so I forced myself to break the problem down. I remembered the university library rents laptops, so I sent a teammate to queue for one while I rebuilt the ten most important slides from memory on my phone, using screenshots we had sent each other. We walked in five minutes late, apologised, and actually delivered one of the better presentations that day because the rebuilt slides were simpler and clearer. Afterwards I felt drained but genuinely proud. The experience taught me that under pressure, the useful question is never 'why me?' but 'what's the next small step?' — and I now back everything up to the cloud, twice.
