Handwriting

My handwriting has honestly collapsed since university — I type everything now, so when I do pick up a pen my hand feels clumsy for the first minute. I still handwrite two things: quick to-do lists, because paper is faster than any app, and notes when I'm studying, because writing something out seems to fix it in my memory far better than typing does. I do think handwriting still matters for children — it slows thinking down in a useful way — but I suspect my generation will be the last one that ever wrote letters by hand.
