Mirrors

I probably use a mirror more than I'd admit — once in the morning to make sure my hair isn't doing something ridiculous, and then a quick check before I leave the house. I'm not particularly vain about it; it's more of a habit, a last look to feel put together. There's a big mirror in our hallway that my mother chose, and it genuinely makes the flat look twice as wide, so I'd say mirrors are as much about space as about appearance. The one thing I avoid is changing-room mirrors in shops — the lighting is unforgiving and it puts me off buying things.
